FAIL TO COMPLY, POSSESSION OF WEAPON FOR DANGEROUS PURPOSE

Cornwall, ON – A 15-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on May 1, 2024, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with probation order and possession of weapon for dangerous purpose. It is alleged on May 1, 2024, the youth was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to not possess any weapon. On this date, police responded to a disturbance call and an investigation ensued. It is alleged, the youth chased an individual known to him and brandished a weapon. The youth was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
