DOMESTIC ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 51-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on April 26, 2024, and charged with domestic assault. It is alleged on April 26, 2024, the man assaulted his spouse. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on May 23, 2024. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.

ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – Leanne Duff, 37, of Ottawa, was arrested on April 26, 2024, and charged with assault. It is alleged on April 26, 2024, the woman assaulted an individual while in custody. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Larry Labelle, 47, of Cornwall, was arrested on April 26, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Dec. 12, 2023, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to report to police every week. He failed to do so and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On April 26, 2024, the man was located by police during a traffic stop and taken into custody. The warrant was executed and the man was released to appear in court on June 4, 2024.

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – John Hobbs, 52, of Cornwall, was arrested on April 26, 2024, and charged with theft under $5,000. It is alleged on April 26, 2024, the man attended a Ninth Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the item. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was released to appear in court on May 30, 2024.

WARRANT, CRIMINAL HARASSMENT, HARASSING COMMUNICATIONS, UTTERING THREATS

Cornwall, ON – Vivek Kumar, 39, of Sarnia, ON, was arrested on April 27, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with the following:

• Criminal harassment - repeatedly communicate
• Harassing communications
• Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm

It is alleged on June 26, 2023, the man made several harassing phone calls to an individual and also threatened to harm and kill her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was issued for the man’s arrest. On April 27, 2024, he was taken into custody by members of the OPP and subsequently turned over to the CPS. The warrant was executed and the man was released to appear in court on June 4, 2024.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Maryam Fisher-Nasr, 19, of Cornwall, was arrested on April 27, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on April 23, 2024, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest. On April 27, 2024, police located the woman while conducting a traffic stop. She was taken into custody and the warrant was executed. The woman was released to appear in court on June 4, 2024.

Cornwall, ON – Jason Gougeon, 44, of Cornwall, was arrested on April 27, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Feb. 27, 2024, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On April 27, 2024, the man was located and the warrant was executed. He was held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 24-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on April 27, 2024, and charged with three counts of fail to comply with probation order. It is alleged on April 19, 2024, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, to not contact or communicate with his ex-girlfriend and to not be within 100 metres of any place she is known to live, work or frequent. It is also alleged on this date, the man attended his ex-girlfriend’s residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On April 27, 2024, the man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was released to appear in court on May 14, 2024. The man’s name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.

Cornwall, ON – Kathleen Ferguson, 38, of Cornwall, was arrested on April 27, 2024, and charged with theft under $5,000. It is alleged on April 27, 2024, the woman attended a Second Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was released to appear in court on June 4, 2024.

Cornwall, ON – Brianna Malcomnson, 28, of Cornwall, was arrested on April 27, 2024, and charged with theft under $5,000. It is alleged on April 27, 2024, the woman attended a Second Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was released to appear in court on June 4, 2024.

Cornwall, ON – A 39-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on April 27, 2024, and charged with domestic assault. It is alleged on April 9, 2024, the man assaulted his girlfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On April 27, 2024, the man was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on May 28, 2024. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.

CRIMINAL HARASSMENT

Cornwall, ON – A 29-year-old Alexandria woman was arrested on April 28, 2024, and charged with criminal harassment. It is alleged on April 28, 2024, the woman harassed her ex-boyfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on May 21, 2024. Her name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.

Cornwall, ON – Corrine Pilecki, 54, of Cornwall, was arrested on April 28, 2024, and charged with theft under $5,000. It is alleged on April 28, 2024, the woman attended a Brookdale Avenue business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was released to appear in court on June 4, 2024.
